Last night I think I must have taken an extra shot of my herbal tincture as OMG I was wired during the night, it’s the only thing that I can think of that might have caused it. Basically, as I was sorting the kitchen before I went to bed I couldn’t remember if I’d taken my 2nd shot of it earlier in the evening (I usually take it when preparing my tea) and not wanting to miss a dose I took one just in case but then being wired in the night I think I probably did take it! Oh well, lesson learnt.

Today I was planning on going back to the gym as my knee is feeling a lot less painful and stable, however, this week I have a lot on so decided that I would do home workouts instead as this will save me a lot of time. When I go to the gym I generally get home around 8am (workout is 6.30-7.30 & then the drive home), whereas if I workout at home I’m usually done by 7am and therefore I can crack on with work earlier & get more done.

My gym posts the daily WOD (Workout of the Day) so I was able to see what I would be doing and I modified it to the kit I got at home and movements that I felt comfortable doing. I know I’ve said this loads of times before but it felt good to move my body and get my heart rate up & I did a short 200m run as a warm-up just to test out how my knee might feel running, there was some discomfort but no pain which is a relief.

Today, I went on a bit of a road trip! I had organised to meet a friend near where she lived which is on the coast so in my head I thought as I’m at the coast I might try to go view the venue where I’m doing my corporate training next week which is also on the coast, after I organised all this I looked at a map and realised that yes both places are on the coast but 39 miles apart (an hours drive as the roads are single carriageways & quite windy) So I drove an hour to meet my friend for a walk and some lunch, then drove another hour to look at the venue & take some pictures and then drove another hour to get home!! I love driving so not a problem as I sing to my heart’s content & have the music blaring.

Anyway, I’m really glad that I visited the venue as it’s not the normal kind of place I do training & they are not really set up for corporate events but it’s a good size room which will allow me and the delates space to socially distance and stay safe. I’ll just have to get my creative juices flowing to work out how it will work which is ironic really as the course I’m running a creative thinking training workshop!!

I'm 40 something gal living in the beautiful county of Lincolnshire, England. I run my own business which is a rollercoaster of good times and bad times but it is what makes life interesting. I'm a self-confessed foodie, which some people might think is bordering an obsession, but a good obsession I would say. I am a fully qualified food technologist, nutritionist and personal trainer and use my skills and knowledge to keep striving to better myself in all areas of my life. Despite being dyslexic I love reading both fiction and non-fiction books and usually have four or five on the go at any one time. I enjoy keeping myself fit and healthy by regular visits to the gym as well as enjoying open water swimming and sometimes I'm brave enough to swim without a wetsuit. This blog is all about my life and adventures.
