Wow, what a day! Out of the house at 6.20am and back home at 7.15pm.

Another gym session, this time it was intervals, again had to scale but had a good workout and it was a hot one even at 6.45am (well hot for England anyway!!).

Then it was straight to the uni to shower and get ready for the day, today a colleague and I were assessing presentations from the students talking about business strategy and how it links with financial decision making!! All were really interesting, however, it was quite intense to sit through quite a few as I really wanted to stay focused for each and every student.

The clock struck 5pm and I got in the car and drove to the lake for a swim, today has been cooler than yesterday with more cloud cover so the swim was great. I was just going to pootle about a bit knowing that I’d already had a workout this morning but once I got in the water, I was on a mission and ended up doing 1200m, one big loop (a mixture of breaststroke & front crawl) then, 2 small loops doing all front crawl without stopping!! I didn’t actually want to get out but my skin was wrinkly and my belly rumbling.

Got home, and made some food! Did the dishes as need all my lunch stuff again tomorrow for another uni day. Done a little bit of work and now I’m here writing this blog.

I am loving being active again this week, I’m still really mindful about my knee and will take care not to push too hard with it but I’m back in my happy zone!!

Can’t believe that I’m getting close to my goal of blogging every day for a year, sometimes I do wonder what I’m going to write and may sound like a broken record to some but this is my life & I kind of love it, I know it’s not full of adventure & excitement! Personally, I think it’s over-rated!

I'm 40 something gal living in the beautiful county of Lincolnshire, England. I run my own business which is a rollercoaster of good times and bad times but it is what makes life interesting. I'm a self-confessed foodie, which some people might think is bordering an obsession, but a good obsession I would say. I am a fully qualified food technologist, nutritionist and personal trainer and use my skills and knowledge to keep striving to better myself in all areas of my life. Despite being dyslexic I love reading both fiction and non-fiction books and usually have four or five on the go at any one time. I enjoy keeping myself fit and healthy by regular visits to the gym as well as enjoying open water swimming and sometimes I'm brave enough to swim without a wetsuit. This blog is all about my life and adventures.
